Scott Baughn
Over 40 years behind the kit. Drummer Scott Baughn started playing professionally in 1974 at 14 years of age. Band member, hired gun, artist manager, road manager, bus driver at times and general motivation officer. His unique hard hitting drumming style has earned him the nick name, “The Punisher” (which now graces every pair of his solobeat sticks)Touring 99% or the USA, along with Europe, Asia, Canada, the Arctic, the Balkans, and much of the Middle East covering over 30 countries. Doing Rock, Country, Blues, Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. Scott has been a road dawg most of his career and enjoys life on the road.
Having shared the stage with many great artists: Queensryche, Kick Axe, The Killer Dwarfs, Guns and Roses, Metal Church, Bullet For My Valentine, Rob Zombie, Slipknot,Warrant, Ted Nugent, Killer Dwarfs, Lynch Mob, Texas Hippie Coalition, Bang Tango, Hell Yeah, Great White, Pantara, Cheap Trick, Ratt, Def Leppard,Color of Chaos, Candle Box, Pop Evil and many, many more. From Megadeth to Toby Keith, Gary Allen, Chris Cagle, John Michel, Montgomery, Exile, Neal McCoy and a host of many others. Scott covers many genres.
He has been playing Tama drums since 1983 and could not be happier with their sound,
stamina and good looks on the road and in the studio. Gibraltar hardware since 1993 and
now he has added SOLOBEAT Drumsticks to his arsenal of equipment beginning in 2018 and
once again is very pleased with their, appearance, quality and durability. With 8 different
styles of Solobeat sticks ( all 5b size ) as of 2022
Scott’s drumming influences come from the 70’s and early 80’s heavy hitters:
Cozy Powell, Brian Downey, Dave Holland and Bill Ward.
